Hello Spring

Spring has arrived, and MES Tech Stars are blossoming! As we enter into the fourth marking period, the computer lab is buzzing with creativity.
Kindergarten and First grade are currently flexing their imagination and engaging their minds with Pixie, an exciting creativity software. Each homeroom is collaborating to produce a class book which will be published online. Keep an eye on the MESTech Showcase where you will be able to download your own copy.
Second graders have been developing computational thinking as they help the 2Code chimp debug his programs. They have coded some wonderful projects, many of which I have started to post on the Showcase.
After working diligently on their Pages Missions, third grade is now turning their attention to learning how to think as a game designer. They have designed and created some awesome “catching” style games.
Fourth and Fifth grades continue to explore foundational computer science principals by creating a myriad of projects in Scratch. Fourth grade will soon by making their interactive About Me projects.
Fifth grade is coding arcade games. Mark your calendar for the evening of June 8th, from 5pm-7pm; the Computer Lab will be transformed into the Game On Arcade.
